do tumblr yardigans have opinions on what the worst yard ep is

I know 44 is widely hated but it’s also the start of the gambling scammer arc.

Personally I still haven’t gotten through the Asa Butterfield episode, there’s just something about it that doesn’t click for me.

I love that the Maker of this Universe, Jehovah Mason’s Peer is described as someone who reaches out, someone who makes contact, someone who creates distance in order to close it, and this same action of reaching out and connecting and opening communications and creating a path is paraphrased a hundred times, but he’s never explicitly called Bridger. Even though he is.

You have no idea how much I want this mass migration to tumblr to be real. I would love it if there was an entire ecosystem on tumblr of tiktokers who don’t know or don’t want to reblog anything, so they are functionally incapable of interacting with the rest of this website. Nothing is funnier to me

“I understand. You found paradise on TikTok. You had a good fyp, you made good content. The censors protected you and they were friendly for advertisers. So you didn’t need a friend like me. Now you come and say "Tumblr, give me content.” But you don’t ask with respect. You don’t offer reblogs. You don’t even think to call me “Hellsite.” You come into my house on the day my blorbo is to be married and you ask me to do content - for likes.“

  • I went to look at the Wikipedia article on Chinese expansionism and it’s a lot shorter than I remember it being and now it’s says it’s a myth and needs to be updated.

I see what you mean. It’s definitely weird.

It’s extra weird when you look at the article for Timeline of Chinese History and they have this gif, which literally shows China expanding (and then contracting, and then expanding again, and so on):

That’s Chinese Expansion, not Chinese Expansionism.

Here’s the first in a series of edits that lead to a reduction in the page size and the current opening paragraph https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chinese_expansionism&diff=1068857092&oldid=1068849420

This is truly a turning point for the cosmere. Now, both the Hoid instant-noddle memes and the Thaidakar’s avatar is just a seon in a cloak memes are canon.

    What madness.

I’m hearing speculation that Putin went through a bout of “long COVID” and came out thinking and acting… differently than before, which intrigues me for obvious reasons

Excited for the bi Putin arc

I don’t know! What’s the probability I’m some kind of fictional character, created for a purpose such as this?

speaking of indiana, kurt vonnegut is from indianapolis. which is why he understands america. indiana is a perfectly generic state. indiana is everywhere and nowhere. it has no location

    @tanadrin said:

indiana is genuinely the only state i forget exists sometimses

even ohio is memorable as like, a joke generic state. indiana is truly nothing

ohio like, matters, its got, yknow, its got famous stuff, industry. cleveland. pig war. its infamously bad but at least its infamous. i genuinely dont know anything about indiana. its on the mississipi i think? it definitely has indianapolis. i think it also has cincinatti. i know its between illinois, michigan, and ohio. maybe…missouri to the south?. so…possibly it borders a great lake. its certainly near one. they call themselves hoosiers. obviously its flat and in the midwest. john green lives there. genuinely, no-hyperbole, i cant think of any other information about indiana. wait i just remembered the indy 500. bizarrely, it has the indy 500 (major nascar event)

I believe Gary, Indiana used to be the murder capital of the country. It’s also where Gary Cooper’s parents got the idea for his name (Gary didn’t previously exist as a name, allthough Garri does in languages where that is how they pronounce Harry that way). It’s also the setting for the Music Man, of course.

Indiana is notable for having been settled mostly by people moving north rather than west, which is why it was an island of conservatism even when the rest of the Midwest was solidly Democratic.

It’s not even the setting for the Music Man, that’s Iowa.

Parks and Rec, now that’s Indiana
